Not a cake maker....

No, I am not a great cake maker, I think the best cakes are the ones that come from Costco, but I just couldn't resist giving this one a try.  It was fun and best of all I had Maddie to help me!  Happy birthday to Bri and Sarah!

Smoke in Italy?

Up at 3:00 am to drop Brad off at the shuttle, he's off to Italy.  Will he get to see the smoke?  I hope so, that is history even if he doesn't get to see the Sistine Chapel.

Some Christmas 2012 Pics

It used to be much easier to blog, download the pics from the camera and voila!  Now the pictures are so scattered between cameras and phones, downloaded to this device or that!  Ok now lets see if I can find some cabin pics.

 Jackie was a very sick dog while we were at the cabin, she was very lethargic, and wouldn't eat.  She began to cough up blood, we took her down the mountain to see the vet and she began to perk up, it turns out she was altitude sick.  Sadly, no more cabin trips for Jackie!

 Another jump and he lost a ski in the powder, that is all digging to find the ski, it took about an hour with all the boys digging to find the ski!

Cabin Bound!

Ahh there is so much December blogging to catch up on, but right now we are cabin bound, Yippee!!!!  I love the step back from all that seems so important in our every day life, to remembering and enjoying what really is important!

November

November came and went--it was a month of coming and goings for us, we got to celebrate Grandma's 80th birthday.  

We had a very quick trip to Maine to meet our new grandson Kyran.  Kyran, the lucky boy has Uncle Brad to be his godfather.

Maine was beautiful but the highlight was little Kyran, he is so precious.

After our visit to Maine, we had a quick trip to Arizona, that trip did not go as planned, lets just say I have a little unfinished business in Arizona.

 I went directly from Arizona to Grammy and Papa's and got spoiled, having a whole week to spend with them. Bri, Sarah, Maddie, Craig and Brad all arrived at the same time Papa and I got back from Davis with Kyle.

 Grammy is teaching my how to trim the roast, mine didn't turn out so well last year.

 Being a grandma is the best!
