Brad can read Khmae

Brad translated the sign for us, he said it says, "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints". Brad says he is a Khmae superstar----what do you think Brent? Brent had a baptism this week, his name is Bandit, that's the closest Brent could come to an English translation. Khmae is read left to right, top to bottom like English but there are no spaces between words. It has the longest alphabet of any language.
Note from Brent: That was my first time actually doing the baptism but so far three of my investigators have gotten baptized and tell Brad he is a genius but he is wrong it actually says the religion of jesus christ of saints of the last days, but hey you were close.

Oh what do you do in the summertime?

Well since summertime is limited this year it's going to be gone before we've had a chance to do anything! School starts August 10, can you believe that, August 10. We are enjoying summer evenings with no homework, yay! Well, we'll enjoy while we can, Kyle starts second semester summer school (health, wasn't he supposed to do that freshman year?).
Bri is here (LA and Orange County) for his internship, he got to spend last weekend with us before going to LA for orientation, after next weekend he will be in Irvine for the summer and Sarah will be here soon. Kerri and Kendall are coming for the fourth so I think it's U of R fireworks for us this year, we haven't done that in a few years.
Kyle and Brad are racing every other Tuesday night in a points series, so far so good. First race Kyle was third, Brad second, last night Kyle was first! I know I've got to get the camera out and get some pictures on here!
We've got our trip to NYC, Boston and Maine partially planned, a few more reservations to make and it should be good! Hurray. We actually don't get back from Maine till after school starts so we're stealing a few extra days of summer.

More adventures on a bike....

"Let the rainy season begin...the city flooded this week and our entire crank was under water and so we peddled under water it was kinda cool but the water was nasty so not cool at the same time."
Who says missionaries only wear boring white shirts and dark suits, I think polka dots suits them well!

This little guy's family are members of the church.
