Hey everyone Kendall and Kerri's Pizza Factory is now open! Hooray, it's been a lot of work for both of them. Next time you go through Bountiful check it out, it's right off the freeway (I think the exit is 500 S).

Oops!

I forgot to put the card back in my camera-so dumb! Anyway I am sure they would have been the best pictures. We finished up the CRC on Saturday, Brad was second, he was excited his prize was a new computer and he didn't have one for his mountain bike. Kyle did well on the 81 mile road race. He stayed in, got dropped on one of the climbs but is all the stronger for the extraordinary effort on a tough course.
We left Torrey, dropped Brad in SL so he could meet up with his friend Zac, he's going to spend the next week+ in Sun Valley with Zac, they both have their mountain bikes and their road bikes, should be a great time. We got a quickie visit with Kendall, Kerri and the boys at the new Pizza Factory, it should be open in a few days-- they might be a little stressed. We left at 8:00 pm drove all night to be home for Sunday, we are too old to do this!

Capitol Reef Classic-Time Trial

Brad took over two minutes off his time from last year.
Kyle's time is about 40 seconds better this year. In a couple hours we go back for the circuit race, Brad starts at 2:30 with the Jrs. and Women, Kyle goes at 4:30 with the Cat. 4's. Our hotel is right next to a candy store, could life be better?

My handsome boy

My new favorite scripture from Sunday School today: 1 Chronicles 28:10 .....be strong, and do it. A long time ago we made an attempt to create a family motto, somehow we were never successful, today this scripture seemed like a good possibility, what do you think?

Mom's Crystal Ball

Sometimes I wish I had a crystal ball, especially when it comes to advising my older children, but somehow it is a little foggy when it comes to helping them out. On the other hand my crystal ball is very clear for my younger children. Case in point, me,"Kyle, make sure you always, always, have your drivers license with you, never forget it, make sure the insurance info is always updated and in the car, because you are going to be stopped just because you look 12, it's only a matter of time.
Let's see, Kyle has had his license for about 2 1/2 months now and sure enough yesterday mom's prediction came true. Kyle and Brad were driving down to RHS to turn in their PE papers when a CHP officer sees Kyle turn off Cypress onto Citrus. Brad said he did a double take, flipped a U and pulled Kyle over. Officer (in his Southern accent) "You, look way too young to drive, that's why I pulled you over. How old are you? Who's that in the car with you? Where are you going? License, registration and insurance please." He let Kyle go, after checking everything out. How long do you think it will take for him to be pulled over again?

4th of July

We got to visit Grammy and Papa and all of the Northern California cousins this weekend. We had a nice visit. On Saturday Kyle took advantage of the fact that there was a road race beginning about 10 miles from Grammy and Papa's. It was called Leesville Gap and is notorious for bad roads. Could they be any worse than the road to Grammy and Papa's? The answer is YES! He lost a water bottle somewhere before a big climb, and drained his other bottle, by the time we met him at the feed zone he was not a happy camper. He said he actually took out his phone to call us to come get him, stared blankly at it and put it back in his pocket. He finished well, but we didn't stay for the results and he didn't get placed. He raced Cat. 4 since there were no other juniors in the junior div.

I guess we should have guessed how bad the road was when we saw this racer!

Papa and me waiting to hand off some bottles.

Coming through the feed zone. He said Gatorade never tasted so good in his whole life.

And the finish.

Hey how often does this happen? All four of us together!

Erin and Bobby

Getting ready for the barbque. It's always nice to visit Grammy and Papa, we don't get there often enough. Thanks everyone for the great weekend.

Kevin and Brent were left to their own devices.

They did a little mountain biking.

And a little climbing.
