Home again, Home again.....

Saturday Kevin and I did the Rock Cliff Jordanelle Olympic Distance Triathlon
Kevin had a great race, although he said it wasn't one of his favorite races. I will post a link to his race report when he writes one.
Here I am trying to get used to the bone chilling water. I had a terrible race (more about that on my training blog) but would have to say it was one of my favorites.
Hanging out in transition before the race.
Bike out, the good news...I was out of the water.

We brought our own cheering section, Ker
Bri and Sarah (they surprised me as I was headed out on the run, thanks, I needed that!)
Boys!
After the race we went to Park City for lunch and a little mountain biking for Kyle, Brad and Kev.
Kael and Kyle enjoyed the trampolines.

And flight school.
The boys loved mountain biking, Kyle Crash Wright did not crash, this is good, however I think Kev and Brad did, they have learned not to tell me too much about their crashes if they don't have to. We had a nice, busy, fast trip, nice to be home again.

Father's Day 2010

Dad and Kyle after too much dinner!
Ironman memories last a lifetime!
Yes--a much needed new wallet!
Brad and Kyle's presents to dad, note the footstool, we know exactly where that's going. It's headed to the office for the pan.
Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful fathers in our lives, Papa Lytal, Grandpa Wright, and Craig (Dad). We are having a nice day with dad and look forward to seeing Grandpa Wright next week and Papa Lytal 4th of July weekend.

Saturday conversation with Brad

10:30 am (just home from my run) "Mom, can I buy some Zipp wheels?" No son, but thanks for asking, nice try. "Ok, mom well then can I get some new Rainbows (flipflops) I really need them for the summer." Ok, sure I think a new pair of Rainbows would be fine. We'll go as soon as you clean your bathroom.
Pretty brilliant don't you think, start with the $2000 set of wheels and then when mom says no go for the $30 pair of flip flops, how can she say no. Well.........we're still waiting for the bathroom to be cleaned. Maybe mom is the brilliant one.

No Chillin'

The Summer in Review
Oh yeah, the summer hasn't happened yet, the boys are still in school until the middle of next week. I suppose I should say the summer in preview. Brad says, "No chillin'." The calendar is jam packed with summer fun. As soon as the boys get out of school they have Sisquoc (state junior road race championships), then their scuba trip, four fun days at Catalina, the next week is youth conference + Craig and I need to make a quick trip to Utah for business. July has a stake bicycle trip, scout camp, Capitol Reef Classic, a trip to California for Brian and Sarah (their second, I think the first one fits into our June schedule) A half iron race for me and then school starts again, Aug. 11. Wait, where do we fit in a trip to Grammy and Papa's (4th of July?), the beach and the cabin? Can't we have more summer.
