Spidey Boys
Yesterday I spent the day working on the downstairs family room, I have it partially furnished but the boys weren't going to let me anywhere near shopping today. So it was a lazy day, we slept in, had huge decadent waffles for breakfast, went out to lunch and of course to The Quarry, can't come to Utah without going to the The Quarry, Little Spideys may even go back tonight after Big Spidey gets off work and climb some more. (Ok, well I did sneak a little shopping in, I took Bri shopping for some desperately needed new clothes).

Thanksgiving 2008
Thursday morning, getting ready to "Earn our Turkeys"
As I'm struggling to finish my last few yards the boys (long since finished) are cheering us on. Or maybe Kev is just showing Brent he is still the big brother.
Right before the race-Brent is taking the picture so he's not in it
Kev, Dad, Brad, Kyle and Mom
Kev, Dad, Brent, Brad, Kyle
See that very fast, running machine in the purple jacket, that's my NT (not today), can I do it?
YES!!! With a little help from Dad, I have earned my turkey (well maybe not a prize turkey, but we've banked a few calories)

Ok, now this was the best part of the finish line, Brian and Sarah were there!!!
After the race we headed back to the condo to get cleaned up and go to dinner. We had a change of venue for dinner, we went to Grandma and Grandpa Wright's. Everyone was there except Debi and Steve and Kerri and Kendall.
Dad and I are getting a ham ready to take, dad's stirring the glaze.
My Martha Stewart moment!!!
So anyone can put a ham in the oven, but this is true talent, check out the gorgeous apple pie Brian and Sarah made. It was gone in a flash. For more details on apple pie making click here

Do you know what five hundred fifty bucks and the fear of failure equal?
Good luck son, the countdown begins, only 364 more days, minus 52 Sundays leaves about 312 training days.

Weekend at Grandma's
The weekend started Thursday with Kerri, Kevin, Kael and Kyle coming home with Craig. Yay!!
We had a fun full house, missed you Bri and Kendall. So where do you think Kerri and Kevin had to go on Friday? If you guessed Cuca's you are right. Who do you know that can return home to Redlands without going to Cuca's! Then to Ford Park for fun with Kyle and Kael.

Who do you think had more fun at the park, Kevin and Kerri or Kael and Kyle?
Absolutely have to have Slurpees after the park
We had fajitas for dinner, Kael and Kyle made the dessert, YUM!
Saturday was our beach day, it will probably be the last one of the year, it was a great day especially for November.
Shhh, don't tell anyone Brent is reading Twilight.

Kevin and Brent left for IMAZ, Kev volunteered and is registering tomorrow for next year. I think we'll all be volunteering next year to support Kev and maybe register for 2010. Craig took Kyle and Brad (and skis) back to Utah today, and Kerri and I are headed back on Wednesday. I bailed on T de T, but having no regrets since I got to spend the weekend with the kids. Next year T de T is back on the calendar, I talked to KR and MR today, they said make the reservations this week!!

Triathlon Hero
Yesterday I met Bill Bell. (If you don't know who Bill Bell is click here). He is simply amazing. Tomorrow is his 86th birthday and even though he has retired from Ironman's he is still busy racing and volunteering. He gave me some good advice on my swim panics. Of course I left my handy, new great Nikon CoolPix, perfect for in the purse, at home so I couldn't get a picture with Bill.

Petroglyphs and Prelims
Brad and Dad were headed off Friday for a Scout campout at Corn Springs.
They did some bouldering.
Looked at cool petroglyphs
Sat in trees.
And had a good time with friends (Seth, Cole and Brad)
Mom, Brent and Kyle were headed off to CIF prelims, this is what we saw as we were arriving:
The fire was behind the hills at Mt. Sac, they had to shorten the course to two miles and cut out the switchbacks and Poop Out Hill.
It was not a good day for RHS, we are done with Cross Country for the season.
